Homemade laundry soap

Yes, indeed.  You read that right.  Spent $13.25, and have enough supplies for 40 gallons of laundry soap.  A fraction of a penny per load.  Can we beat that?  Not if you ask me!

We have FabulouslyFrugal to thank for the link to the recipe.  We added double the borax, but everything else, including the process, was the same.  We used our food processor to grate the soap.  It was a good move.  No problems with clean up, either.

Here's the link through FabulouslyFrugal, which also happens to be another favorite site for cost saving ideas, couponing tips, etc.  I suggest you 'like' them on FaceBook.  They post great tips and deals throughout the week:

Happy soap making!
